今天西方各大媒体都报道了Uber公司在去年遭到黑客攻击造成五千七百万客户资料泄密后向黑客支付10万美元以掩盖该数据泄漏事故。Uber公司信任CEO在发现真相后，开除了两名直接参与支付黑客赎金的高管。
Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi称其刚刚获知2016年10月发生的那期数据泄露事件。
除事件本身外，值得关注的是这位信任CEO对媒体的表态：”None of this should have happened, and I will not make excuses for it. While I can’t erase the past, I can commit on behalf of every Uber employee that we will learn from our mistakes. We are changing the way we do business, putting integrity at the core of every decision we make and working hard to earn the trust of our customers.”
据Uber公布，在去年的拿起事件中，约60万美国驾驶员的姓名、邮件地址和驾照号码被黑客获取。
据路透社报道，Uber还解雇了公司首席安全官Joe Sullivan，前Facebook最高安全官。
