路透社东京6月18日 – 日本政府官员和日本放送协会(NHK)称，周一早间日本第二大城市大阪发生6.1级地震，导致三人死亡，一主要工业区的工厂停产，多处水管爆裂。至少有234人受伤。

日本气象厅表示，周一地震的震源深度为13公里，震中位于大阪北部。

6级地震对日本而言不算太大的事故。坚实的抗震建筑设计和完备的国民抗震教育，不会引发太严重的后果。不太恰当地说，每次地震，其实都是世界各国向日本观摩学习的一次机会。

文章称：In the aftermath of the magnitude 6.1 earthquake, which left at least three dead and hundreds injured, scores of tweets were seen labeling ethnic non-Japanese — particularly ethnic Koreans and Chinese — as criminals who may take advantage of post-quake confusion to rob banks and convenience stores, and commit other dangerous crimes.

日本政府立即对社交媒体上的这些谣言和hate speech进行了批评，但足见日本民间隐藏颇深的某种民粹主义的仇恨心理。

近年来，自然灾害常常伴随和催生某些极端的言论和仇外心理。这一点，比天灾更值得世界警惕。
